Goddess: 🌺 Goddess Mahagauri – శ్రీ మహాగౌరి దేవి

The eighth form of Navadurga is Goddess Mahagauri, traditionally associated with purity, peace, serenity and spiritual strength. Mahagauri is commonly worshipped on the eighth day of Navaratri.

Calendar note: In Hyderabad, the Ashtami tithi begins on October 18 and continues into October 19, so some local calendars observe Maha Ashtami/Durgashtami on October 19. Festival observance can therefore vary by tradition.

🪔 8వ రోజు పూజా విధానం – Telugu

1. పూజా స్థలాన్ని శుభ్రం చేయాలి

పూజా స్థలాన్ని శుభ్రంగా చేసుకుని, స్నానం చేసి శుభ్రమైన దుస్తులు ధరించి పూజకు సిద్ధం కావాలి.

2. మహాగౌరి దేవి చిత్రాన్ని ప్రతిష్ఠించాలి

శుభ్రమైన పీటపై శ్రీ మహాగౌరి దేవి చిత్రాన్ని లేదా విగ్రహాన్ని ఉంచి పూలతో అలంకరించాలి.

3. కలశ పూజ చేయాలి

కలశంలో శుభ్రమైన నీటిని నింపి, మామిడి ఆకులు మరియు కొబ్బరికాయను ఉంచాలి. పసుపు, కుంకుమతో కలశాన్ని అలంకరించాలి.

4. దీపం వెలిగించాలి

అమ్మవారి ముందు నెయ్యి లేదా నూనె దీపాన్ని వెలిగించి, అగరబత్తులు వెలిగించాలి.

5. శ్రీ గణపతిని ప్రార్థించాలి

ముందుగా శ్రీ గణపతిని స్మరించి, పూజ ఎటువంటి ఆటంకాలు లేకుండా పూర్తయ్యేలా ప్రార్థించాలి.

6. మహాగౌరి దేవికి పూజ చేయాలి

మహాగౌరి దేవికి పసుపు, కుంకుమ, అక్షింతలు మరియు తాజా పూలను సమర్పించాలి.

7. నైవేద్యం సమర్పించాలి

ఇంట్లో తయారు చేసిన సాత్విక నైవేద్యాన్ని భక్తిశ్రద్ధలతో అమ్మవారికి సమర్పించాలి.

8. మంత్ర జపం చేయాలి

మంత్రం:
ॐ देवी महागौर्यै नमः॥
ఓం దేవి మహాగౌర్యై నమః॥

9. హారతి ఇవ్వాలి

అమ్మవారికి హారతి ఇచ్చి కుటుంబంలో శాంతి, పవిత్రత, ఆరోగ్యం, సుఖసంతోషాలు కలగాలని ప్రార్థించాలి.

🌸 Day 8 Pooja Vidhanam – English

1. Clean the Pooja Area

Clean the prayer area, take a bath and wear clean clothes before beginning the pooja.

2. Place Goddess Mahagauri

Place the picture or idol of Goddess Mahagauri on a clean platform and decorate it with flowers.

3. Perform Kalasha Pooja

Fill the kalash with clean water and place mango leaves and a coconut. Decorate it with turmeric and kumkum.

4. Light the Lamp

Light a ghee or oil lamp and incense sticks before the Goddess.

5. Pray to Lord Ganesha

Begin the pooja by remembering Lord Ganesha and seeking His blessings.

6. Worship Goddess Mahagauri

Offer turmeric, kumkum, akshata and fresh flowers to Goddess Mahagauri.

7. Offer Naivedyam

Offer a simple, pure vegetarian homemade naivedyam to the Goddess with devotion.

8. Chant the Mantra

Mantra:
ॐ देवी महागौर्यै नमः॥
Om Devi Mahagauryai Namah॥

9. Perform Aarti

Perform aarti and pray for peace, purity, good health, happiness and spiritual strength.
